The kids at Kanata Academy in Ottawa, Canada have an ongoing kindness project that encourages students to act with kindness and often raise awareness and funds for worthy causes. While COVID-19 put a stop to in-person activities, virtual ones are still going strong. Many students took up the Say It For Seniors challenge and shared kind messages and smiles. Thanks Kanata Academy – you’ve brightened our day!
Kids are a big source of joy for seniors everywhere and right now there are many grandparents missing the little people in their lives. Nine-year old Sophia, from Peachtree Corners, Georgia wanted to share her “quarantined artwork for all the seniors stuck in Nursing Homes that can’t see their families.”
Sophia is speaking from experience. She has a great grandmother in a skilled nursing community and recently had two grandparents infected with COVID-19. But we are happy to report that both have successfully recovered!
Thanks Sophia! Your artwork will bring smiles to many people!
